We work closely with the following economic development organizations to recruit and retain business and strengthen the economy of the Cherokee County area.

Our Mission

to retain and attract business, agriculture, and residents to Cherokee County. To that end, we strive to ensure that existing business prospers and new business receives all available advantages. Our programs offer technical and financial assistance. We also work to ensure a great quality of life for our residents.

– Through effective communication, promote Cherokee County, Iowa and its communities as a viable resource for industrial development and family living
– Enhance the quality of life for our residents to ensure the stability of our communities
– Aid in economic growth by working with the expansion of existing business and industry
– Stay in constant communication with existing businesses to serve as a facilitator and community liaison for their business needs
– Recruit additional businesses to the county using financial assistance and incentives from federal, state, regional, local and private sources
– Offer customized workforce training programs to enhance our readily strong, available workforce
